Netflix Chooses Spot-On Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment

The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until the next season, and a adored, audience-beloved member has just been cast.

The platform declared this week that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that role reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, as in the source material and animated series.

This performer joins a number of new cast members set to bring the group to reality, featuring head Mr. 0, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and a familiar face, who also joins the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.

Though the role is a key figure of the group, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate more adjustments to the plot development.

Escola’s blend of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the role. In addition to their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
