Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international break, however can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Life

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I will not force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be fairly close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole away win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.

My son told me to get Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's team pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.

Fulham have got lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else rough up the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's home record, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
